Transforming the lives of
We define justice as "setting things right"
and we believe this is a way
that we can help curb systemic crime, homelessness, and poverty
in our neighborhoods.
By making investments in these
young men who are at high risk
for becoming another statistic,
we can affect substantive
change in our community.
We believe it is time to stop laying
blame and get to work. We take for granted the life skills that our
families, schools, and communities
of faith have taught us. Imagine how great our struggle would
be if not for those willing to instill in us certain abilities and values?
We are blessed and therefore must,
in turn, bless others.
There's a misconception that our
young people "have it easier" or
"don't have to work as hard."
These ideas and attitudes, among many others, are the failings of our society
to recognize that all of us are contributors to the systemic problems that plague our communities.
But the amazing thing is:
We are also the solution!
