Our Board of  Directors

Sonny Brainerd, originally from Texarkana, has lived in Northwest Arkansas for 15 years. Before beginning a career with Edward Jones, Sonny graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in business administration and a focus on financial management and investments.
Sonny is invested in Micah's House because of the support it provides young men, both financially and with mentor relationships.

Taylor Farris graduated from Harding University with a degree in Accounting and Finance. She is currently supporting the Home Office Academy initiative.
As a teenager, Taylor lost her single mom and found support in her community through church and mentors. Micah’s House mission aligns closely with the values and priorities she developed during that transformational time in her life.
Taylor has lived in NWA for 6 years with her husband, Alex, and their beloved pup, Huckleberry, a certified therapy dog.
Jared Gabriele grew up in Bentonville, and currently lives in Bella Vista with his wife, Michelle, and four children. He has had a career in various capacities of banking, and currently serves as Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer for Grand Savings Bank.
While searching for ways to serve his community. Jared discovered Micah's House and realized the need to provide support and guidance to these young men, He has served on the Board of Directors since 2018 and currently serves as Vice-Chairman of the board.
Hector Guzman is a recent transplant to NWA from San Antonio, TX with his wife of 8 years, Jessica and his dog, Zuko. He is an accomplished District Manager for Academy Sports + Outdoors with over 13 years of retail experience. His strong work ethic and adaptability has contributed to his growth within Academy Sports + Outdoors after starting as a part-time sales associate in 2007.
Board Chair, Melissa Hickman, grew up in Rogers and graduated from UA with a BSBA in Retail Marketing.  Her passion is to help people and she has a heart for those who are overlooked, left out or otherwise the underdog. Melissa works for her family business and is also the owner of "Before You Say I Do" wedding planning. Being mom to two fabulous kids is her most important and favorite job.
Melissa is a founding board member of Micah's House and has been sevring our young men from the beginning.
Lindsey Mitchell is a native to Northwest Arkansas with a heart for helping people and her community. Micah’s House NWA is very important to to her and her belief that we are here to be the hands and feet of Christ. As the mother of a 14 year old son, she hopes if he ever needed a place like Micah’s House someone would be ready to help and love him.
Lindsey has been involved with Micah's House from the beginning by cooking meals, volunteering to drive the young men, and acting as a mentor.
