RA Overnight Position
Part-Time, Overnight 6pm-7am
Summary
The Resident Assistant stays overnight in Micah’s House to help maintain a household that is consistent with the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
This person should create a sense of optimism, compassion, and Godly confidence—and be committed to helping foster the culture of healing and growth.
Requirements
This person should possess a friendly, positive attitude, and exhibit the characteristics of servant leadership. They should have great communication skills, use of proper grammar and punctuation, legible handwriting, and proficiency in using Microsoft office programs, email, etc. A teachable spirit and positive attitude will be crucial.
Micah’s House Resident Assistant Role & Duties to include the following:
Relational
• Promote a positive and cooperative atmosphere, conducive to resident growth.
• Provide leadership for residents to maintain processes and security.
Counseling
• Be available to listen to residents and make referrals, if necessary.
• Be familiar with the names and needs of residents.
• Help provide for the health and safety needs of the residents by responding appropriately.
• Document violations of rules and policies.
• Report discipline matters that need to be handled to the Program Director.
Administrative
• Account for residents when “on duty” and ensure secure environment.
• Carry out “on-duty” coverage responsibilities as scheduled.
• Complete written requirements of the position, including incident reports, room checks, evaluations, etc., in a timely manner.
• Report house maintenance needs to Office Administrator.
• Enforce rules, policies, and procedures.
• Act as a liaison between the residents and Executive Director as needed.
• Carry out any additional duties as assigned by Director.
