Board of Directors
Our Board Chair, Jared Gabriele, grew up in Bentonville, AR. He and his wife, Michelle, currently live in Bella Vista, AR, with their four children. Jared’s career in banking has given him the opportunity to serve in various capacities within the banking industry. He serves as Market President for Generations Bank. While searching for ways to serve his community, Jared discovered Micah’s House and realized the need to provide support and guidance to young men in our community who have aged out of foster care. He has served on the Board of Directors since 2018.
Lindsey Mitchell is a native to Northwest Arkansas. She has a heart for helping people and her community. Micah’s House NWA is very important to her and her belief that we are here to be the hands and feet of Christ. As the mother of a 14-year-old son, she hopes that if he ever needed a place like Micah’s House, someone would be ready to help and love him. Lindsey has been involved with Micah’s House from the beginning. She volunteers to cook meals, drive the young men who need rides to school, work, or appointments, and acts as a mentor.
James Robert (Rob) Gutterridge has been in the NWA business community for 20 years, and is one of Micah’s House newest board members. After graduation from Arkansas State University, Rob and his wife Leigh, moved to NWA and currently reside in Centerton, AR, where they are raising their two teenage boys. In 2016, Rob became a partner in Natural State Media and has succeeded in expanded the media company's footprint across NWA, River valley, and NEA. Rob has built relationships through his involvement at Grace Point Church, where he's part of "First Impressions" ministry program. He has also been involved in the 7 Hills homeless center to provide ways to help our struggling friends to a better life.
Sonny Brainerd, is originally from Texarkana, AR. He has lived in NWA for 15 years. He attended the University of Arkansas and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on financial management and investments. He currently works for Edward Jones, and has served in many different roles within the company. In addition, he has served on several committees and charity organizations within our community. He believes in Micah’s House because it supports young men is so many ways, both financially and with its mentoring programs. Sonny enjoys spending his free time with family and friends.
Bapuji Vakkalagadda, lives in the NWA area and started his own business in 2021. He previously work for Walmart for 15 years, most recently as a Sr. Manager II responsible for Sam's Club POS systems. He has two boys, one in 10th grade and the other in 8th grade. Since 2013 he has volunteered his time at Telugu Badi School, where he teaches Telugu to the next generation. Bapuji strongly believes that our children are the future leaders of our communities and that everyone should be provided with opportunities to be successful.
Shay Dighero-Mendez is a Rogers, AR, resident with over 15 years in the NWA supplier community. She is a loving wife, caring mother and currently a Senior Category Manager with Huffy Bikes. After graduating from Rogers High School, Shay left NWA for the University of Central Arkansas where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/Business, and met her wonderful husband of 18 years. After college, she was recruited by Acxiom Corporation and married her college sweetheart. Soon after having her first child, a son, she quickly realized that NWA was home. Shay and her family moved back to Rogers, and was blessed with a second child, her daughter. Shay is driven in life by creating new, exciting ways to keep her husband busy, loving on her children as much as possible, and making the customer #1 at Walmart… always. Shay stays busy being a wife, a mother, and with her career, but has a true calling to help Micah's House NWA, and is ready to get started.
