You Can be a MentorMentors provide leadership with guidance and encouragement to young men as they begin to develop the life skills necessary in their journey as productive, engaged and contributing members of society.
What does it take to be a mentor? First, an interest in, and a commitment to the programs, goals and objectives of Micah's House NWA. We are seeking open-minded individuals who are willing to embrace diverse perspectives. Mentors should have energy and enthusiasm for Micah's House programs, and have a desire to give of themselves for the betterment of the community. We believe that family is who you choose to "do life" with, which may or may not include a young man's family of origin. Our model, "father-brother-friend," seeks to match a mentee with three men of varying ages and in different stages of life:
